NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF MIXING IN AN INLET-FUELED HYPERSONIC AIR-BREATHING PROPULSION

The injection of the hydrocarbon fuels in the inlet of an air-breathing engine has been numerically investigated. The objective of the present study is to assess the characteristics of the inlet injection methodology, such as fuel-air mixing efficiency, premature ignition and attendant flow losses at the exit of the inlet.
