This study aims at providing a landscape of opportunities and limitations for hybrid-electric aircraft (HEA) byrninvestigating several technological combinations applied to various aircraft classes. The preliminary sizingrnof HEA using different hybrid-electric powertrain architectures, combined with various distributed propulsionrnlayouts is conducted. The relative benefit of resulting HEA, with respect to a conventional design, are thenrncompared on the basis of several performance metric.rn
