ENDURANCE ANALYSIS OF BATTERY-POWERED MULTICOPTERS: DERIVATION OF PROPER CUT-OFF VOLTAGE USING DC MOTOR MODEL

This work focuses on the endurance analysis of the battery-powered multicopters in hover. The endurance depends on the effective capacity of the battery, which depends on the discharge rate and discharge cut-off voltage for steady flight. In this work, a proper cut-off voltage in hover is newly derived from DC motor equivalent circuit model, propeller characteristics and momentum theory.
