The influence of varying fuel heating value on jet airplane range has been investigated using closed-form mathematical expressions and computer models for kerosene and non-petroleum fuels (FT-kerosene and biodiesel). Consideration is given to the specific air range (i.e. efficiency) and maximum range for conditions of partial and full fuel tanks.
