Keywords: Critical Points, Airspace Structure, Airspace Complexity, Sector Design
This paper introduces a method for extracting dynamic critical points from flight trajectories. Dynamic critical points begin to define a dynamic route structure around which dynamic airspace may be designed. To evaluate this method, critical points extracted from current day flight tracks are compared with airway intersection points and sectors.
