PARTICLE IMAGE SURFACE FLOW VISUALIZATION AND SKIN-FRICTION MEASUREMENT

Particle Image Surface Flow Visualization (PISFV) consists in velocity field measurement of thin oil-film movement on the aerodynamic model surface. Surface streamlines are restored only from velocity direction distribution. To calculate shear stress (skin-friction) field it is necessary also to know the velocity value and oil-film thickness. The aim of the work is to investigate the opportunity of wall shear stress measurement.
