A REVIEW OF RECENT AIRCRAFT CONCEPTS EMPLOYING SYNERGISTIC PROPULSION-AIRFRAME INTEGRATION

This paper will provide a review of recent aircraft concepts with distributed propulsion proposed in the recent past covering a wide range of applications (UAV to wide body long-range concepts). Analyses will be presented targeting the identification of the purpose of the employed distributed propulsion mechanisms, and, the underlying distributed propulsion architectural decisions.
