A REVIEW AND A CLASSIFICATION SCHEME FOR AIR TRANSPORTATION NETWORK RESEARCH

This paper provides a review of literature for the U.S. air transportation network. Identified papers were collected to address the questions; what is the main goal of the research? Does it study a specific problem or general properties? Considering these, a classification matrix is created to categorize literature. Through this, literature is reviewed and a missing area is also identified.
