CHARACTERIZATION OF DISTORTED FLUID FLOW ALONG ADVANCED HIGH-BYPASS PROPULSION SYSTEM

A comprehensive fluid-solid interaction (FSI) methodology is uniquely implemented to characterize the fluid field along the advanced high-bypass propulsion system. For the analysis, an explicit finite element analysis is selected. A coupled Lagrangian-Eulerian (CLE) element formulation was employed in order to create the fluid ingested into a virtual propulsion system
