This paper will discuss evaluation results associated with implementing distributed propulsion systems. The technical work reflects work of a European Commission funded Level-0 Framework 7 project entitled Distributed Propulsion and Ultra-high By-Pass Rotor Study at Aircraft Level, or, DisPURSAL. The approach of distributed propulsion was the use of distributed multiple-fans driven by a limited number of engine cores.
