AERODYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF FLUSH-MOUNTED STATIC PORTS PLACEMENT ON THE COMMERCIAL TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT

Flush-mounted statics ports are widely used to sense ambient static pressure on modern commercial transport aircrafts. The static pressure affect the accuracy of pressure altitude, calibrated airspeed, flight Mach number and etc. at a certain flight level. The paper elaborates how to find the right place of the statics ports to increase the accuracy of static pressure.
