COLLABORATIVE SYSTEMS DRIVEN AIRCRAFT CONFIGURATION DESIGN OPTIMIZATION

The research objective is to evaluate the correlations between airframe design and its systems integration earlier in design process, and exploiting the synergies within a simultaneous optimization process. A generic MALE UAV mission is considered and following two cases are compared: 1) Novel systems effect on fixed airframe , 2) Inside-Out Airframe design optimization driven by fixed systems.
