AERODYNAMIC OPTIMIZATION OF AIRPLANE PROPULSION SYSTEM WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF AGILE PROJECT

The paper is devoted to the optimization of nacelle geometrical parameters to minimize the loss of effective thrust on cruise regime. The effect of various parameters on the nacelle characteristics is analyzed. The nacelle geometry variation with taking into account propulsion/airframe interaction is also examined. After comparison of different optimization methods the conclusion about the appropriate procedure for these tasks is formulated.
