APPLICATION OF PROPER ORTHOGONAL DECOMPOSITION FOR AVIATION SAFETY

The lidar measurements integrated simulation of wake turbulence was performed using four-dimensional variational method (4D-Var). The incremental approach was used to reduce the high computational cost of 4D-Var. The analysis and forecasts from the incremental 4D-Var compared with those from a full-resolution 4D-Var.
