STUDY ON EFFICIENT FULL ANNULUS URANS COMPUTATIONS OF AN INTAKE COMPRESSOR CONFIGURATION

Current aircraft intake design regards intake and compressor as separated modules. The interaction of intake distortion and compressor flow field is neglected. Coupled unsteady numerical simulations can give insight into these mechanisms and allow for a more detailed prediction of the influences of the intake flow on the operational behavior of the compressor.
