ELASTIC MODES ADAPTIVE CANCELLATION ALGORITHM FOR THE A330 MRTT FLYING BOOM CONTROL LAWS

Elastic Modes Adaptive Cancellation (EMAC) algorithm has been developed for the A330 MRTT flying Boom. EMAC algorithm identifies the structural natural frequencies in real time and adaptively adjusts the frequency mixing factors applied to the measured feedback signals to cancel elastic modes components. Nonlinear simulations results and flight test data are used to validate the algorithm.
