AERODYNAMIC TESTING OF HELICOPTER NOVEL AIR INTAKES

Wind tunnel tests are conducted on a full scale fuselage model to analyze the flow characteristics in the Aerodynamic Interface Plane. With 5-hole pressure probes significant trends on total pressure drop and distortion are found for different air intakes tested with an emphasis on forward flight conditions.
