THE DESIGN OF AN AUTOMATIC BEACON EJECTING SYSTEM FOR AIRCRAFT

Since 2009, two major aircraft incidents, AF447 and MH370 have occurred where the aircraft have disappeared over water and presented significant challenges in locating the aircraft. This paper addresses this issue by a proposing a design which will eject a locator beacon immediately before an aircraft crashes into water.
