A WAVELET BASED FLIGHT DATA PREPROCESSING METHOD FOR FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS ESTIMATION AND FAULT DETECTION

This paper proposes a new flight data indexing method, which sorts time series data into flight phases. In addition, the method outputs index values which represents correlation strength among different types of data. Those generated information greatly supports flight characteristic estimations and fault detections, whose results quite depend on their input flight data quality.
