COMBUSTION INSTABILITY FREQUENCY MODE SHIFT OF H2/CH4 RATIO AND COMBUSTOR LENGTH IN A MODEL GAS TURBINE

High speed OH-PLIF and PIV measurement make it possible to do that relatively for capture the micro scale flame images. Flame characteristic can be investigated from the OH-PLIF images. In addition, local velocity can be calculated using PIV images. Difference on combustion characteristic, flame shape and local convective trend between low and high frequency mode instability was found and mechanism of mode shifting can be investigated from the measurement technique.
