STUDY OF MODEL DEFORMATION AND STING INTERFERENCE TO THE AERODYNAMIC ESTIMATIONS OF THE CAE-AVM MODEL

Interference breakdown is also studied with CFD tool for wing deformation and Z sting separately. It is observed that the wing deformation will reduce the section lift, while the Z sting intends to shift the shock wave forward. It is suggested that, to effectively compare CFD and wind tunnel data, wing deformation and sting effect would have to be taken into account at high subsonic Mach numbers.
