PERCH LANDING ASSISTED BY THRUSTER (PLAT): SIX D.O.F. TRAJECTORY OPTIMIZATION

This paper proposes concept of method and optimization results of the method about fixed wing aircraft perch landing using thrusters. The perching maneuver used in this paper is optimized to minimize the amount of fuel consumed by thrusters, while pitch attitude is controlled to maximize aerodynamic drag to reduce speed effectively during perching.
