SELECTION OF AN UAV CONFIGURATION LAYOUT FOR OPTIMISATION OF TELEDETECTION MISSION USING HYPERSPECTRAL SENSORS

R. Fusaro¹, Z. Goraj, Warsaw University of Technology, Poland; N. Viola¹; ¹Politecnico di Torino, Italy

Paper addresses the exploitation of hyperspectral technology on UAVs. Falco, Samonit-1 & Samonit-3 able to accommodate the same hyperspectral sensors have been analysed using key drivers selected among the main performance indexes. Aircraft efficiency during mission is measured by unit productivity (=payload*endurance/MTOW), stability (important for flying and teledetection qualities) and unit cost which will be compared for all 3 UAVs.
