INVESTIGATION OF UNSTEADY TRANSONIC FLOW FIELD ABOVE LAMINAR AIRFOIL BY PIV METHOD

Position of the shock above an airfoil in a high speed wind tunnel was determined by non intrusive method. The experiments revealed sharp increase in the shock instability with increasing of the angle of incidence.
