LOW-DRAG / LOW-BOOM SHAPE OPTIMIZATION OF A BIPLANE WING / TWIN-BODY FUSELAGE SST CONFIGURATION

In this study, a biplane wing / twin-body fuselage supersonic transport (SST) configuration is investigated. Its aerodynamic and sonic boom performance is discussed by numerical simulations. By the low-drag / low-boom shape optimization of the innovative SST configurations, the inclusive availability of the proposed SST configuration is demonstrated.
