SURROOPT: A GENERIC SURROGATE-BASED OPTIMIZATION CODE FOR AERODYNAMIC AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY DESIGN

“SurroOpt” is a state-of-the-art, surrogate-based optimization code, which can be used to efficiently solve arbitrary single and multi-objective (Pareto front), unconstrained and constrained optimization problems. This paper reviews the recent progress in development of SBO in our research team, with highlight of development of a generic optimization code, “SurroOpt” and its recent applications to aerodynamic and multidisciplinary design optimizations.
