Optical flow is used in many areas such as obstacle avoidance, object detection and target tracking. In this paper, we discuss optical flow on a flapping wing micro air vehicle with light weight and limited payload to avoid collisions and steer. In particular, we introduce a FWMAV equipped with a first person view (FPV) system used to control a radio-controlled vehicle from the pilot’s view point.
