AN INVESTIGATION OF EFFECTS OF FLIGHT MANEUVERS ON A SUPERSONIC AIRCRAFT WITH HORIZONTAL TAIL ACTUATOR FAILURE

S. Oh¹, I. Cho¹, C. McLaughlin, The University of Kansas, United States; ¹Korea Aerospace Industries, LTD, South Korea

There are some papers which show the effects of flight in a subsonic flight condition under actuator failure. However, there are few papers which provide the effects of maneuver into the supersonic regime with a real military aircraft. This research helps to design a new military aircraft with an optimized actuator and supports to verify hinge moment of actuator in the dynamic test facility for the new military aircraft.
