SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS OF UNSTEADY AERODYNAMIC REDUCED-ORDER MODELS ROBUST TO FREESTREAM PARAMETER VARIATIONS

M. Winter¹, C. Breitsamter¹; ¹Technische Universität München, Germany

A nonlinear reduced-order modeling approach based on local linear neuro-fuzzy models is presented for predicting unsteady aerodynamic forces in the time domain. The Mach number is incorporated as an additional input parameter to account for varying free-stream conditions with a single model. The method's efficiency and fidelity is demonstrated for aeroelastic applications (e.g. AGARD 445.6 wing).
