MODELING AND ANALYSIS METHOD ON CRASHWORTHINESS OF CIVILIAN AIRCRAFT FUSELAGE STRUCTURES

H. Huang, China; M. Zhao, China; W. Wang, China

Simulations of an aircraft fuselage structure with 3D human body models at different locations were performed to study its crashworthiness and passengers’ security with the method combining dynamic simulation modeling and experimental study together which had great real significance. For six different conditions of one to four human body models and various crashing velocities, finite element models were calculated and compared with the associated experimental data and aviation safety standards to do analysis and evaluation for the purpose of improving the aircraft design.
