NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF RCS FOR A SPHERICAL CONVERGENT FLAP NOZZLE WITH A NON-RECTANGULAR DIVERGENT DUCT

To improve stealth performance of SCFN, two shaping measures is adopted. To calculate radar scattering characteristics, ray-tracing method is applied to judge the irradiation relationship.The hexagonal and bowtie divergent ducts have trailing edges with shaping measures, and the calculation results show that shaping measures can decrease RCS greatly and improve radar stealth performance.
