ENGINEERING APPLICATION OF GAO-YONG RATIONAL TURBULENCE MODEL TO AN INTER-COOLED DUCT

X. Li¹, W. Zheng¹; ¹AVIC, China

This paper provides an engineering application of GAO-YONG rational turbulence model in CFD. GAO-YONG model is based on partial mass average theory and required no empirical coefficients. It is used to simulate the flow of an intercooled duct which is utilized in the gas turbine. The GAO-YONG simulation result agrees with the experiment much better than RANS models.
