MODELLING, GENERATING AND EVALUATING SECTOR CONFIGURATION PLANS - METHODOLOGY REPORT OF THE SESAR VP-755 EXERCISE

T. Dubot¹, J. Bedouet¹, S. Degrémont, DSNA, France; ¹ONERA, France

In order to face the current limitations of the sectorization process, the European SESAR programme delivers Dynamic Airspace Configuration automated tools to deal with the need of more dynamicity, flexibility, and modularity. Algorithms developed should help operational experts to build optimized airspace configuration schedules throughout the day, by combining small airspace building blocks. The benefits of this new approach are presented here with the assessment of workload metrics within the framework of the Reims ACC airspace.
