ANALYSIS OF SWIRL RECOVERY VANES FOR INCREASED PROPULSIVE EFFICIENCY IN TRACTOR PROPELLER AIRCRAFT

To enhance the propsulsive efficiency of propeller aircraft swirl recovery vanes are employed that reduce the rotational energy that is lost in the propeller slipstream. The analysis, that is relevant for the performance improvement of future regional aircraft is based on a CFD study combine with windtunnel test in a large low speed facility.
