NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF TURBULENT FLOWS OVER THE ONERA-M6 AND DLR-F6 CONFIGURATIONS

R.G. da Silvaš, J.L.F. Azevedoš; šInstituto de Aeronautica e Espaco, Brazil

The work is concerned with studying the effects of turbulence models in the prediction of transonic flows over standard aeronautical configurations, which are extensively used in CFD validation efforts. The focus of the work is in discussing the capability of computing lambda shocks over wings in transonic flow and in accurately predicting drag characteristics of typical airliner configurations.
