IMPROVEMENT OF PUSHBACK TIME ASSIGNMENT UNDER UNCERTAINTIES

Pushback time is assigned to reduce taxi-out time of departure aircraft at some airports in the world. However, this strategy can potentially cause take-off delays. This paper's focus is twofold: 1) take-off delays caused by uncertainty as well as 2) reduction of fuel burn. A novel improvement in the pushback time assignment algorithm is proposed via stochastic optimization.
