AUTOMATED SEPARATION ASSURANCE AND COLLISION AVOIDANCE FUNCTIONS IN THE CNS+A CONTEXT

The Next Generation Flight Management Systems and Air Traffic Management systems (NG-FMS and NG-ATM) are presented. The results obtained demonstrate the functional capability of the next generation of avionic and ATM systems to generate cost-effective trajectory profiles satisfying both operational and environmental requirements, as well as satisfying the required CNS performance criteria.
