The paper discusses design and integration considerations involved when implementing distributed propulsion as a means of motive power for future aircraft concepts. Representative motive power system configurations are evaluated in terms of performance characteristics and compared to representative reference aircraft featuring a conventional architectural approach and assuming identical mission roles.
