Reduction of emissions is one of the challenging tasks for aeronautical engineers today. This paper redounds to this challenge by providing flow characteristic and drag analysis of a light weight utility helicopter. Thereby, the potential for systematic design optimisations is identified to reduce helicopters environmental footprint and increase their productivity.
