The paper deals with the aero-acoustic optimization performed within the ANIBAL project, which objective was to design, manufacture and test a new propeller for light aircraft applications. The ANIBAL propeller demonstrated significant noise level reduction together with minor penalties in aerodynamic performance during flight tests on a DR 400 airplane.
