High performance CFRPs have been manufactured by addition of either ceramic fillers or carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for enhanced mechanical and thermal stability. Their matrix dominated materials properties, namely compression strength, impact resistance, properties under shear loadings, bending strength as well as interlaminar shear strength, show exceedingly good results and improvements.
