PANEL FLUTTER SIMULATION CONSIDERING TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYER

Numerical studies were carried out to investigate effects of turbulent boundary layers on panel flutter at supersonic speeds. RANS equations are solved to take into account the turbulent boundary layer. The computed flutter boundaries agree well with experimental data. We found that the boundary layer has stabilizing and destabilizing effects.
