Airbus’ approach to “Open Innovation” will be introduced. Having portrayed the “Cabin Innovation and Design Centre” and its role within the Airbus organisation, the motivation for pursuing the open innovation approach will be outlined. Subsequently, the cabin development process and the open innovation tool-set will be explained and examples provided.
