A holistic Systems Engineering approach is used to analyze requirements for air transport systems designed for future long-range operation concepts with e.g. increased fuel efficiency and reduced ecological impact. The study comprises different stakeholder perspectives and focuses on the investigation of intermediate stops operations as well as aerial refuelling.
