EFFECT OF CONTROL ALLOCATION ON PILOT-INDUCED OSCILLATION (PIO) SUSCEPTIBILITY OF AIRCRAFTS WITH MULTIPLE CONTROL EFFECTORS

The relationships between control allocation and PIO susceptibility are analyzed. The PIO susceptibility of an example aircraft with multiple control effectors (MCE) in 3 different control allocation schemes is evaluated by time domain Neal-Smith criterion. The results indicate that control allocation obviously influence the PIO susceptibility of aircrafts with MCE.
