With the rapid increase energy usage, the depletion of fossil fuel resources and the need to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, flapping wing power generators are proposed to harvest energy from the jet streams. Navier-Stokes simulations are used to assess novel means of significantly improving such a generator.
