To fulfil the challenge of more and more performing aero-turbo-engines, Snecma has developed for the last 20 years specific high resistant superalloys single crystals (SX) for turbine blades . Future perspectives for lighter and highly resistant materials include Nb silicides alloys, céramic matrix composites and new generation of “ductile” ceramics .
