For efficient aerial fire-fighting by amphibian, water-dropping and spreading phenomena from aircraft were investigated in wind tunnel using high-speed camera, PIV, etc., and validated CFD calculation results. This will be helpful to determine how to drop water from an amphibian to extinguish a fire more efficiently.
