EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF RAMP INJECTION INTO SUPERSONIC CROSSFLOW USING NANOPARTICLE-BASED PLANAR LASER SCATTERING

Nanoparticle-based Planar Laser Imaging (NPLI) method and other techniques are applied to investigations of mixing enhancement characteristics of ramp injectors in supersonic flow. It's indicated that effect of streamwise vortexes is the main mechanic of mixing enhancement. Sweepback configuration will strengthen the vortexes and intensify the mixing effect accordingly.
