Keywords: pilot modelling, large aircraft, aeroservoelasticity

Sheer size and level of augmentation in modern large aircraft introduce delays into flying control system. This paper focuses on using pilot modelling techniques with an aeroelastic aircraft model to understand large aircraft handling qualities. Results from a simulation environment capable of simulating scenarios causing unwanted airframe loadings are presented.
